This tomato pasta sauce is the easiest I have come across and it’s very low in calories. It also only takes 30 minutes to make.
Toss with spaghetti or linguini, sprinkle with some fresh parmesan cheese and you have a delicious meal that is easy and fast to prepare.

Easy Tomato Pasta Sauce
- 2 tbsl olive oil
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- mince garlic (quantity is up to you)
- 2 cans stewed diced tomatoes (I use the small cut ones)
- 1/2 cup or more of wine (I use red or white)
In a saucepan, heat the oil a bit, then add the onions and the garlic and cook on medium high for a minute.
Add the tomatoes and bring to boil then reduce heat and let simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add the wine and let simmer a bit more until juice has been reduced and the sauce is thicker.
Recipe Notes*If you can’t find the small cut diced tomatoes, you could put them in the blender. Also, you could add some fresh chopped basil to the sauce before serving.
